Hi...I am Mr. Josue O. Mirabite, a Filipino residing in a municipality near Manila, Philippines, who used to tutor students for almost 20 years, preferably on math-related subjects, such as: Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, Trigonometry, Business Math, among others. I also teach English, especially grammar-related ones; and I have completed the requirements for 120-hour TESOL certificate. I have units in PhD and already under the dissertation stage. I am a product of the prestigious and well-known University of the Philippines (UP) at Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines with Masters of Arts Urban and Regional Planning and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.

While I had my employment in the government, it has been my passion to teach academic subjects on a part time basis.

I am flexible to effectively conduct the tutoring sessions either on a one-on-one teacher-student approach or group/class of students.

I am proud that some of my students are now graduates and have good employment already.

My previous tutoring experiences were conducted on a face-to-face approach. But now, I am doing it online. With the pandemic, it is preferred to conduct our tutoring online. Thus, we can accommodate students from different places globally.

With my interest in tutoring/teaching students, I assure you of good quality of learning from me.

Regarding teaching methodology, I am flexible enough in the approach. As much as possible, I examine first the personality of the student specific to his interest on the subject. I inject some related jokes and practical examples on the topics whether it is Math or English. We do make use of the textbook and/or notes, if any.

We prioritise preparing the class assignment, if there is any. If none, we move on discussing the current topic with exercises, then prepare for the next topic. Read less
